Q:My Nikon Coolpix L10 camera wont download my pics!!?

The camera takes pics and I can view them on the camera, but when I connect the usb cord to the computer nothing happens, its like it doesnt recognize it. I ve tried plugging it in them turning it on. If I put the plug in the computer upside down it will make a warning sound and also if i pull the plug out of the camera it wil turn off. I dont know why its not working?!!!! Please help me!

1.go to my computer and try add new hardware and see if it has been detected .

If that doesn't help try rebooting your machine and see if it is found.
